A partner of The Mom Project in the automotive industry is seeking a contract Paralegal to help support their business needs.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Coordinate, schedule, and manage the development of new licensing agreements and renewals with licensees.
- Ensure agreement deadlines are met and prevent unintended contract expirations.
- Interface and coordinate agreements with legal teams.
- Gather and interpret complex data to support licensing activities.
- Handle special projects and non-recurring assignments.
- Assist in the development of licensing strategies.
- Prepare monthly status presentations for leadership.
- Manage projects, including budget management responsibilities.
- Coordinate and manage the delivery of intellectual property to licensees.
- Monitor and manage licensee compliance.
- Maintain regular communication with external partners, industry stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bechelor's/Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or equivalent training required.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret contracts and agreements.
- Experience managing multiple contracts, agreements, and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Experience creating and delivering presentations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of the Independent Automotive Aftermarket industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve unusual and complex problems.
- Strong project management skills.
- Experience coordinating with legal teams and external stakeholders.
- Understanding of intellectual property licensing practices.
- Understanding of regulatory and legal requirements related to service and parts information.
- Knowledge of Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA) standards.
- Experience with Automotive Aftermarket licensing or similar licensing environments.
- Knowledge of automotive service and parts-specific file formats.
- Supervisory experience.
- M-F, 40 hours/week
- Hybrid in Warren, MI - In-office Tues/Wed/Thurs, remote Mon/Fri
