A partner of The Mom Project in the automotive industry is seeking a contract HR Operations Specialist to help support their business needs.
This position is responsible for executing core HR operations and employee lifecycle processes. This role plays a critical role in delivering consistent, compliant, and high-quality HR support across the organization.

Responsibilities
- Serve as day-to-day HR support for assigned leaders and employee groups in partnership with HRBPs
- Execute HR transactions and employee lifecycle activities in Workday, including onboarding, offboarding, transfers, relocations, and job changes
- Manage offboarding logistics, including documentation, system updates, employee communication, and equipment coordination
- Act as the primary contact for Leave of Absence transactions and standard HR inquiries
- Coordinate global HR operational activities, including immigration, relocation, and country-specific processes
- Support performance management and employee relations activities through documentation and tracking
- Coordinate logistics for reorganizations, workforce reductions, and other large-scale HR initiatives
- Prepare reports, workforce data, and talent materials for succession planning, talent reviews, and workforce planning
- Conduct audits and support HR data integrity, compensation planning, and HR systems maintenance
- Partner with HRBPs, leaders, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth HR operations
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2-4 years of experience in HR operations or HR support roles
- Strong hands-on experience with Workday and HR operations processes
- Experience supporting global or multi-country HR processes
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong judgment and ability to handle sensitive and confidential employee matters
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Service-oriented mindset with strong ownership and follow-through
- Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to identify gaps and improve processes
- Ability to work independently while partnering effectively with cross-functional stakeholders
- M-F, 40 hours/week
- Hybrid in Warren, MI - In office Tue-Th, work from home Mon and Fri
