Core Responsibilities
- Update and maintain accounting records in the firm’s trust accounting software for multiple trust entities
- Record and classify individual and business expenditures, receipts, and other transactions
- Track and prepare data for accurate 1099-NEC and 1099-MISC filings
- Run monthly financial reports and reconcile all accounts
- Review financial statements, including investment accounts, to verify accuracy
- Prepare cash flow projections and asset sale projections
- Support year-end close processes and fiduciary tax reporting coordination
- Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed
- 3+ years of accounting experience, with a strong preference for trust, estate, or fiduciary accounting
- Experience with accounting software (Quickbooks and Sage)
- Knowledge of 1099 reporting requirements and IRS compliance
- Proficient in preparing financial reports, cash flow projections, and variance analysis
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- CPA or EA license a plus (not required)
