We are seeking a Bank Loan Services Analyst on a contract basis to help support our Customer’s business needs. This role is hybrid (4 days on-site and 1 day remote/week) in Downers Grove, IL, or NYC.
The candidate for this position will be part of the Bank Loan Services group, responsible for cash and position reconciliation, research, and resolution across a variety of investment vehicles specializing in the Bank Loan asset class.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate trade settlement for primary and secondary loan closings with external parties across par and distressed trades
- Maintain bank loan activity within loan systems, including interest rate resets, principal repayments, drawdowns, and margin changes
- Research and resolve issues using internal systems, agent notifications, public information, and trustee records
- Serve as liaison with counterparties, trustees, and agent banks to resolve cash discrepancies with custodians, trustees, agent banks, and seller banks
- Initiate verbal and written communications to escalate and resolve settlement or operational issues
- Track issue resolution, perform root cause analysis, and identify control gaps
- Partner with team members to complete internal operational tasks
- Document process requirements and operational procedures
- Provide backup support to other team members as needed
- Support additional projects and duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 2+ years of post-graduation professional experience
- Solid understanding of the broadly syndicated loan market
- Proficiency with Wall Street Office (WSO) systems
- Background in accounting or finance preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Strong verbal, written, and analytical communication skills
- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills
- Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines
- Self-motivated with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
