Our Customer seeking a Public Policy Manager on a contract basis to coordinate and build policy programs that showcase the value of their platforms and products to policymakers and other key audiences in the US. This role involves working across diverse content, policy, and product areas to advance company goals by developing and supporting initiatives that educate and inform stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the policy landscape and experience collaborating cross-functionally and with external partners. This detail-oriented, creative, and proactive professional thrives in a fast-paced environment, earning credibility and trust at all organizational levels. They are skilled at navigating complex policy and reputation challenges

This role is on-site in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, create, and execute policy experiences, events, and outreach programs to educate and inform policy stakeholders
  • Partner cross-functionally with Policy, Product, Legal, Communications, and Partnerships teams to advance policy objectives
  • Build and manage external partnerships and represent the organization at events, conferences, coalition meetings, and working groups
  • Support engagement with policymakers, trade associations, industry partners, key opinion leaders, non-profits, and other stakeholder groups
  • Prepare executives for meetings and public appearances involving third-party stakeholders
  • Develop and lead internal processes to streamline workflows and strengthen cross-functional communication and collaboration
  • Manage and track program budgets
  • Draft and develop communications, policy materials, and stakeholder-facing content
  • Establish and track program success metrics and provide progress updates to leadership
  • Travel as required

Skills And Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2-5 years of experience in government, technology, policy, or nonprofit sectors
  • Experience engaging with policy stakeholders preferred
  • Experience managing policy programs and events preferred
  • Knowledge of federal and/or state policy-making processes preferred
  • Strong communications, decision-making, and project management skills
  • Creative and execution-oriented with the ability to ideate and deliver stakeholder programs
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strategic, flexible, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

We offer a competitive salary range for this position. Most candidates who join our team are hired at the median of this range, ensuring fair and equitable compensation based on experience and qualifications.

Contractor benefits are available through our 3rd Party Employer of Record (Available upon completion of waiting period for eligible engagements)
