About the Role

We are looking for a Cardiac Device Specialist to remotely monitor patients with Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices (CIEDs) using RhythmScience’s proprietary software. This role requires expertise in cardiac electrophysiology, device function assessment, and biomedical analysis to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of remote patient diagnostics.

As a Cardiac Device Specialist, you will play a critical role in analyzing cardiac device performance, detecting abnormalities, and ensuring comprehensive clinical documentation to support effective patient management.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical & Diagnostic Analysis

  • Utilize expertise in cardiac physiology, pathophysiology, and device function to perform remote evaluations and diagnostic reviews.
  • Analyze and interpret CIED diagnostics from major manufacturers, including Medtronic, Abbott/St. Jude, Boston Scientific, and Biotronik.
  • Identify abnormal functions of pacemakers, defibrillators, ILRs, and CRT devices, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Document findings with precision and accuracy following RhythmScience’s best practice standards.

Patient & Provider Communication

  • Communicate technical device findings to clinicians and care teams with clear, professional, and standardized documentation.
  • Educate patients on device function and remote monitoring procedures as needed.
  • Coordinate and schedule remote monitoring protocols per clinical best practices and company guidelines.

Compliance & Security

  • Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive patient data, adhering to HIPAA and Protected Health Information (PHI) standards.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies for data security and clinical documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Associate degree required (nursing, medicine, electronics, or engineering preferred).
  • 2+ years of recent experience in cardiac device management.
  • Successful completion of a cardiac device rhythm management course or equivalent experience.
  • Experience interpreting diagnostics from all four major CIED manufacturers.
  • Proficiency with collaboration applications (Microsoft Office, Teams, Slack).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry training and experience in cardiac rhythm management.
  • Certifications such as Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT), Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT), Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), or International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) Certifications (CCDS, CEPS, CDRMS).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly Pay Range: The base hourly rate for this role is $25.00 – $38.71, depending on experience, qualifications, certifications, and geographic location. Compensation is determined based on internal equity, market competitiveness, and candidate-specific factors such as relevant clinical background or device experience.

  • Work Schedule: This is a remote position with a flexible schedule, aligned with patient monitoring protocols and business needs. Candidates may be required to occasionally align hours with U.S. time zones or clinic schedules.
