We are looking for a thoughtful, innovative, driven and organized Digital Marketing Intern. The ideal candidate will have significant interest, expertise, and ability to overlap as a digital and social media specialist to support multiple channels of B2C marketing of addiction treatment, therapy and recovery resources, as well as B2B marketing of healthcare partnerships, services, and telehealth/telemedicine technology. This position is for the CT support office and is not a remote position.
What You’ll Do:
The Digital Marketing Intern will be heavily involved and/or directly responsible for organizing, developing, and executing on overall marketing strategy in a fast-paced start-up environment. You will, at times, work directly with outside agencies and partners to execute overall marketing vision. You will utilize problem-solving skills and specialized techniques in social media, web analytics, email and physical campaign marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), design, blog/WordPress, press-release and copywriting, content generation, public relations, online promotions, pay-per-click advertising monitoring campaigns, and consumer research to:

PursueCare is a startup technology-enabled healthcare management services organization ("MSO") that is addressing the opioid epidemic with an intelligent, convenient, and stigma-free telehealth treatment platform that creates a better experience and outcomes for healthcare providers and patients alike. As traditional opioid addiction treatment models have failed to provide enough access and lasting outcomes for patients, states continue to push for innovative solutions to serve the overwhelming need, particularly across rural and underserved areas. Our vision is to improve access to opioid addiction care and promote better patient engagement/outcomes by providing convenient, private and stigma-free telemedicine services through a virtual network of on-demand prescribing physicians, addiction counselors, and clinics, as well as other recovery resources and dedicated addiction pharmacy services, right through a browser or smart phone app.
Our platform offers telehealth video conferencing, marketing, care coordination, billing, EHR, reporting, partnerships with referral sources for patients in need of recovery intervention, and ancillary services to addiction treatment practitioners and clinics. We offer greater access and engagement with private, stigma-free medication-assisted treatment (“MAT”) programs and evidence-based protocols, increasing the likelihood practitioners will be able to treat more patients, more consistently, with better outcomes.

What You’ll Do:

- Discover and execute on ways to reach Opioid and Substance Use Disorder sufferers and help them to engage with telehealth practitioners, programs, and resources for addiction treatment
- Support and drive engagement alongside direct and indirect partnership development efforts aimed at addiction counselors, therapists, medication-assisted treatment physicians, and clinics
- Market addiction treatment and pharmacy services, programs and resources to hospitals, walk-in clinics, emergency services, skilled nursing, rehabilitation and other practices where patients may benefit from referral to the PursueCare platform, particularly in rural and underserved settings
- Work side-by-side with internal teams that are operationalizing and delivering our services in order to strengthen message, presentation, customer service, and design elements of our business
- Ongoing content development, including but not limited to Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube
- Writing, editing, and proofing web content, social media posts, blogs, advertising, marketing materials, and press releases
- Developing, coordinating, and executing digital marketing campaigns by providing content messaging, coordinating with team members and vendors, managing deadlines, and communicating outcomes with key stakeholders
- Overseeing organization-wide online marketing initiatives, including search engine marketing, banner and social media advertising, and special interest and cause-related cross-promotion and alignment
- Fiercely maintaining the consistent messaging, integrity, and reputation of our services across multiple channels
- Working closely alongside and managing external partners and vendors
- Assessing performance metrics, including campaign analytics, efficiency metrics, brand metrics, feedback and reviews in order to maintain reputation and assess return on investment for initiatives
- Make recommendations regarding new and existing initiatives backed by research and metrics
- Bachelor's degree or advanced progress toward a degree in marketing, communications, internet marketing, web design/development, advertising or a related field required
- Prior experience or an interest in marketing to or on behalf of addiction recovery services, behavioral healthcare professionals, hospitals and health systems, and health IT or technology-enabled services a big plus
- Rock star mentality - someone who is willing to put themselves out there, take risks, and is eager to learn, but also not afraid to take on less glamorous tasks when necessary
- Drive to take ownership in order to meet professional obligations
- Ability to juggle and prioritize projects without losing sight of quality and "big picture" initiatives
