Position Description:
PursueCareRx is dedicated to delivering quality and respectful patient care, with a focus on medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for Substance Use Disorder (SUD). As the Chief Ambulatory pharmacist you will l lead our ambulatory. pharmacy team in Huntington, WV. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing daily ambulatory pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory practices, promoting patient safety, and upholding our mission-driven approach to care.

Essential Functions:
As the Chief Ambulatory Pharmacist, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Managing the ambulatory pharmacy team and overseeing their activities.
2. Maintaining exceptional customer service through effective communication with patients, physicians, and healthcare staff.
3. Ensuring that patients receive appropriate counseling on their medications.
4. Maintaining accurate inventory of medications.
5. Collaborating with the PursueCare team to implement patient care initiatives and support the mission of providing compassionate addiction treatment.
6. Adhering to all regulatory requirements set by the FDA and state-specific regulations for pharmacy services.

Requirements:
To excel in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
1. Currently licensed and in good standing with the West Virginia State Board of Pharmacy, or willingness to obtain the WV license if relocating and possess another state pharmacist license.
2. Hold a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or BS Pharmacy degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
3. Experience working in a retail or clinical pharmacy setting, supporting clinical assistance to patients.
4. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to coordinate and assist patient care in a professional and friendly manner.
5. Ability to adapt to new technology and pharmacy software/systems as necessary.
6. Good critical thinking and creative problem-solving abilities.
7. Self-directed and motivated, with the ability to multitask and manage multiple activities.
8. Passion for our mission of providing compassionate addiction treatment.
