ABOUT PLACER.AI:

One of the fastest growing tech companies in North America, Placer.ai (“Placer”) reached $100 million ARR“Centaur” status in 2024, within 6 years of launching the Placer platform. We previously crossed the $1B valuation “Unicorn” threshold in 2022. Our A.I.-based SaaS platform transforms how leaders make critical decisions by unlocking unparalleled visibility into markets and locations, creating a blue ocean market of more than $100B. And the best part is, we accomplished this by leading a privacy-first business in which data has been stripped of user identifiers and only aggregated information is provided within the platform.

Our platform provides instant visibility into almost any location in the U.S. We have grown exponentially over the past 6 years, counting more than 4,000+ paying customers including many Fortune 500 companies, such as, JP Morgan Chase, Wayfair, Google and many more. Named one of Forbes America’s Best Startup Employers and a Deloitte Technology Fast company, we are proud of our collaborative, innovative and inclusive culture.

SUMMARY:

Placer.ai is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Sales Operations Analyst to support our go-to-market teams through scalable systems, streamlined processes, and actionable insights. You will report to the Director of GTM Operations, and will partner cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and Product leadership to design and manage core workflows, dashboards, and analytics. The ideal candidate is a systems thinker, comfortable toggling between high-level strategy and detailed execution, with a passion for operational excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales Enablement and Process Optimization

  • Own the onboarding and training experience for new Sales and Customer Success team members, including systems access, process education, and tool-specific walkthroughs.

  • Proactively identify, design, and implement scalable solutions to improve operational efficiency across Sales and CS.
  • Serve as a key partner to emerging business teams (e.g., Partner/Channel teams) by designing and documenting workflows for Salesforce Admin implementation.

Tools & Systems Management

  • Maintain and optimize tools within the Salesforce tech stack including but not limited to: Salesforce, Salesloft, Gong, and CaptivateIQ.
  • Manage user access, permissions, and configuration changes in collaboration with Salesforce Admins.
  • Perform complex data manipulation including bulk data uploads, deduplication, territory/account mapping, and data enrichment.
  • Support cross-functional projects tied to systems enhancements, integrations, and tool evaluations.

Data, Reporting & Analytics

  • Collaborate with Sales and CS leadership to define metrics and build out actionable dashboards that provide visibility into team performance, conversion rates, pipeline health, and operational KPIs.
  • Generate advanced reports using SQL, Google Sheets, or BI platforms to support ad hoc analysis, executive briefings, and process audits.
  • Conduct proactive monitoring of performance data to surface insights and recommend improvements in sales motion, customer onboarding, or retention workflows.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and cleanliness of data in Salesforce and across integrated platforms; drive data hygiene projects.

Commissions & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Finance, HR, and Payroll to administer sales commissions: including data collection, calculations, exception handling, audit reviews, and final payouts through CaptivateIQ.
  • Serve as the point of contact for resolving commission disputes and supporting monthly/quarterly close timelines.
  • Align with GTM and revenue operations leadership on compensation design and modeling to ensure accurate tracking and payout.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or a similar GTM support function.
