The Role:
As the Controller you will manage the accounting department and monitors the daily activities of the team. The Controller serves as the primary accounting resource at the company and partners with the CEO and FP&A function to deliver timely, accurate financial statements and reports.
What You'll Do:
- Developing and enforcing internal control guidelines, policies, and procedures for GAAP accounting, cash and credit management, administration, and other activities.
- Coordinating and directing the financial statement audit and the activities of external auditors.
- Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning, ensuring compliance
- Hire, train, supervise, and retain skilled accounting staff. Set targets for all accounting and finance personnel.
- Preparing and presenting financial reports and risk analysis to provide support to senior management, particularly in commercial and financial matters.
- Managing the treasury function for the company.
- Preparing internal and external financial statements to provide to senior management with information vital to the decision-making process.
- Developing and monitoring business performance metrics.
- Creating of financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual budget) for executive and department leads; emphasis on increased standardization and automation to drive efficiencies.
- Enhancing a culture of transparency as it relates to financial metrics and KPIs.
- Ensuring financial compliance and upholding the company's commitment to integrity.
- Direct change management activities in alignment with the Company's vision, mission, and values; never stop innovating.
Must Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field.
- 10+ years of proven work experience in accounting or a closely related field.
- Understanding of applicable laws and regulations.
- Understanding of accounting principles (GAAP), economic principles, financial markets, and banking.
- Understanding of financial data analysis and reporting.
- Knowledge of payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.
- Ability to deliver quality work on tight deadlines, with strong organization, communication, and priority setting skills.
- Advanced computer skills, specifically in Excel.
- Knowledge of federal regulations related to taxes and reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Quality leadership skills and proven track record in managing and motivating employees in high growth environments.
- Empathetic and strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to quickly build trust and credibility with stakeholders.

Compensation
Our compensation package includes a salary of $120,000-$153,000 as well as an incentive bonus and equity options.
