Essential Functions

  • Responsible for coordinating with personnel, delegating tasks, evaluating performances, and training new members of the workforce. Communicates special instructions for jobs to other team members.
  • Proactively seeks out defective materials.
  • Primarily responsible for overseeing all processing operations and workforce performance, ensuring efficiency and timeliness in their department. Verifies the quality of completed jobs is consistent with COS QC standards.
  • Performs all necessary quality control (QC) inspections on each job based on the guidelines communicated and posted in the department.
  • Demonstrates a strong proficiency and thorough understanding of all machines in all areas within the department.
  • Possesses a keen understanding of the equipment and software. Maximizes equipment capabilities.
  • Troubleshoots detailed machine aspects below the surface of basic equipment operation.
  • Involved in new product development and tests machine capabilities.
  • Works cooperatively with other departments to help achieve manufacturing goals.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Education Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Knowledge & Experience

  • 5+ years of previous machine operation required, preferably in a mail production environment.
  • Basic math and reading skills required.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role preferred.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely lift up to 35lbs.
  • Ability to safely push/pull up to 100lbs.
