The Business Analyst II is responsible for the establishment, execution, and documentation of functional requirements derived from internal and external stakeholders’ stories and use cases. This role supports cross-functional collaboration to ensure business needs are clearly defined, understood, and translated into actionable requirements. Duties/Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the systems, procedures, and application modules for evaluation, uncovering areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
• Create detailed technical requirements for simple and complex enhancements to existing systems and for new modules ensuring that solutions meet business needs and requirements.
• Conduct interviews with internal technical teams and external stakeholders to stay abreast of the design process.
• Lead ongoing reviews of business processes to develop optimization strategies.
• Facilitate the change request process with clients, project manager and internal development team members.
• Research and resolve operational questions or production support issues.
• Influence stakeholders to determine acceptable solutions
• Assist with reviewing QA test cases for application development and confirm QA testing.
• Assist with training and documentation efforts
• Write and release communications for enhancements to existing systems.
• Attend weekly meetings to share ideas and discuss findings to determine the applicability of changes to our modules.
Skills/Abilities/Experience:
• 5+ years of experience in business analysis or related field
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
• Demonstrated ability to create detailed documentation and provide meaningful reports
• Knowledge of project management and software development life cycle and the ability to hit project milestones.
• Advanced technical skills, including competency using Microsoft Suite applications
• Exhibits initiative and drive to complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Takes ownership of assigned responsibilities.
• Familiarity with SaaS operational environment
• Ability to lead requirement-gathering sessions
• Review and analyze documentation, use-cases/stories, business rules and process flows to determine what is applicable to our business and writing requirements
• Waterfall and Agile methodologies
• Ability to build positive relationships and gain trust
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with an eye for prioritization
• Health insurance/Billing/Agent commissions experience is preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and sit for extended period of time.
- Ability to lift 10 lbs. weight.
