Job Summary:
The Senior Implementation Consultant is responsible for leading medium-to-large-scale implementation projects, working directly with clients to gather and document requirements, and ensuring project success through collaboration with internal teams. This role acts as a subject matter expert, providing guidance to junior consultants and working closely with project managers, solution design engineers, and testers. The Senior Implementation Consultant is expected to manage client relationships effectively, identify potential risks, and contribute to process improvements for enhanced project execution.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage medium-to-large-scale implementation projects from initiation to completion.
- Collaborate with clients to gather, document, and validate business requirements about Data and system configurations.
- Ensure alignment between client expectations and project scope.
- Oversee the execution of client requirements, guiding project managers, solution design engineers, and testers.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to validate solution effectiveness.
- Provide mentorship and support to Level 1 Implementation Consultants.
- Maintain detailed documentation to support sales, implementation, and post-implementation efforts.
- Identify process improvements and contribute to best practices for future implementations.
- Ensure timely delivery of projects, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
Skills/Abilities/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 6-10 years of experience in implementation, business analysis, or consulting roles.
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- In-depth understanding of software implementation methodologies and best practices.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Demonstrating a methodical approach to diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to data loads, configurations, or connectivity.
- Data Analysis experience. Demonstrated ability to analyze data to identify errors, inconsistencies, or the root cause of issues.
- Experience working with SaaS products and technical platforms.
- Understanding of database design and data modeling. Understanding of subqueries, and can think through using them in joins and wheres. Understands transactions and can layer them, handling failures up the stack. Solid understanding of mPulse data structures, relations, and restrictions.
- Application Configuration experience. Proven ability to configure complex business software, according to business rules and client requirements.
- User administration experience. Experience setting up user accounts, roles, and permissions within software applications, particularly managing access control levels.
- Experience with SFTP configuration & management. Understanding how to set up and manage Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) connections, potentially including key generation and management.
- API/web services understanding. Familiarity with how systems connect and exchange data, likely involving APIs (REST/SOAP) or other integration methods for connectivity with third-party vendors.
- Basic networking concepts: A fundamental understanding of network connectivity would be helpful when setting up integrations.
- Understanding of X12 EDI Standards (specifically 834). Crucial for understanding, interpreting, and potentially configuring systems based on the 834 Benefit Enrollment and Maintenance transaction set and its companion guides.
- Understanding of Scripting (e.g., Shell, Python) used in automating data loading tasks, file manipulation, or aspects of system configuration/monitoring would be beneficial, but not required
- Understanding of Insurance/Benefits Domain, including knowledge of eligibility rules, enrollment processes, billing cycles, and commission structures in the health insurance or benefits industry, would be beneficial but not required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, IT, or a related field (advanced degree or certifications preferred).
- 6+ years of experience in implementation, business analysis, or consulting.
- Proven ability to lead and execute complex implementation projects.
- Extensive experience with SaaS products or similar technologies.
- Understanding of relational databases. Able to execute SQL commands for querying, adding, modifying, and removing data. Understands basics of transactions.
- Understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) concepts: Understanding the process of moving data between systems, including data validation and transformation
- Understanding of data format handling. Experience working with various data formats like CSV, XML, fixed-width files, and potentially JSON.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and sit for extended periods.
- Ability to lift 10 lbs.
