Job Summary:
As a Principal Consultant on the Client Analytics team at mPulse, you will lead complex analytic engagements and serve as a senior strategic advisor to our clients. This role combines advanced technical execution with high-level client interaction and mentorship of more junior team members. You will be responsible for transforming healthcare data into actionable insights that inform client decision-making, support behavior change initiatives, and demonstrate program impact. Additionally, you will play a key role in standardizing analytic approaches, contributing to delivery quality and consistency across the team.
There are three main areas of focus. The first is to investigate key business problems through quantitative analyses, the results of which you will leverage to help our team advise clients in the construction of customized outreach campaigns and to evaluate the performance of those campaigns, from the perspective of facilitating changes to behavior. The second is to work with the data engineering and data science team to prepare data for predictive modeling and analysis. The third is to assist the product team in the buildout of data analytics and reporting capabilities for our product offering.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Serve as lead analyst on large or complex client accounts, delivering high-impact insights and recommendations.
- Leverage your existing healthcare subject matter knowledge internally and as part of the analytic consulting team to our clients .
- Act as a strategic thought partner to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Translate business questions into analytic approaches and communicate findings clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Partner with data science, engineering, and engagement teams to prepare and refine datasets for analysis.
- Investigate business problems ranging from population health management to healthcare consumer experience
- Create client-facing dashboards, presentations, and reports that demonstrate value.
- Mentor Consultants and support onboarding of new team members.
- Support the development of analytic standards, templates, and reusable assets.
- Contribute to sales opportunities through solution design and client consultations.
Skills/Abilities/Experience:
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Advanced skills with data visualization tools (Tableau preferred).
- Advanced ability to use SQL
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver insights that influence strategic direction.
- Strong understanding of healthcare data and client use cases (e.g., HEDIS, CAHPS, care management).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and client stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:
- 7+ years of professional experience performing analytics role at a health plan, consulting firm, or healthcare
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Business Administration, Health Informatics, Economics, Computer Science, or related field
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and sit for extended periods.
- Ability to lift 10 lbs.
