Job Summary:
Drives and owns the development and optimization of mPulse One – an engagement communication platform specialized for healthcare. This includes deep technical ownership of messaging capabilities (SMS, Email, IVR, multi-channel) alongside a strong grasp of healthcare and communication regulations (HIPAA, TCPA). Leads cross-functional teams (engineering, design, implementations, marketing) to deliver high-impact, compliant, and scalable messaging products. Sets product strategy, manages vendor integrations (e.g., Twilio, Tata, Bandwidth), and ensures deliverability best practices and evolving carrier requirements are met.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Define and Evolve Product Vision
Establish and refine the product vision for mPulse One, ensuring alignment with market needs and healthcare regulations. - Technical Ownership & Deliverability
Own the messaging platform’s technical roadmap. Optimize system scalability, monitor deliverability, and comply with carrier and regulatory requirements - Messaging Platform Management
Oversee the integration and performance of SMS, Email, IVR, and multi-channel messaging. Monitor and troubleshoot integrations with CPaaS providers (e.g., Twilio, Tata, Bandwidth). - Vendor & Aggregator Management
Negotiate vendor relationships, monitor service quality, and address escalations or service disruptions. Ensure best-in-class deliverability and compliance with aggregator guidelines. - Stakeholder Communication & Reporting
Set clear KPIs and provide regular updates to senior leadership. Communicate roadmap progress, feature releases, and performance metrics. - Customer Engagement & Research
Engage with customers to understand needs, gather feedback, and validate product direction. Conduct frequent conversations, on-site visits, or virtual sessions to ensure solutions address real-world challenges.
Skills/Abilities/Experience:
- Messaging Expertise
Hands-on experience with SMS, Email, IVR, and multi-channel messaging platforms. Proficiency in messaging APIs and telecom infrastructure. - Marketing Automation
Experience interacting with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Iterable, Marketo, or similar platforms. Ability to build automated, personalized communication journeys. - Technical Roadmap & Integration
Proven track record of owning a platform’s technical roadmap. Skilled in aggregator integration, vendor management, and troubleshooting API issues. - Regulatory & Compliance
Strong understanding of TCPA and other relevant communication regulations. Familiarity with consent management and privacy requirements. - Leadership & Strategic Vision
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders. Skilled in developing product roadmaps, setting KPIs, and presenting to executives. - Healthcare Experience
Familiarity with EHR systems, patient portals, and healthcare-specific compliance challenges is a plus. - Data-Driven Decision-Making
Ability to interpret data to drive product decisions and iterate quickly. - Adaptability & Collaboration
Comfortable working in a dynamic startup environment. Collaborative mindset, willing to tackle ambiguity and pivot when necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
- 5+ years of Product Management experience, ideally with technical products
- Hands-on experience with messaging platforms, CPaaS integrations, or marketing automation tools
- Demonstrated knowledge of user or customer experience in complex, regulated environments
