Position Summary:

The Systems Analyst I will play a pivotal role in ensuring system quality and efficiency by identifying issues, documenting reproducible steps, and executing manual tasks following established procedures. They will monitor system alerts, communicate root cause analyses to clients, and possess the ability to interpret document specifications and execute basic SQL queries and Linux commands. Collaborating closely with engineering and QA teams, they will provide detailed JIRA tickets and facilitate issue resolution while maintaining a strong understanding of client needs and product functionalities

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Improves system quality by identifying issues and common patterns and then documenting steps to reproduce in the issue tracking system

• Follows standard operating procedures to complete certain manual tasks

• Monitor system alerts and act on the alert or escalate to engineering

• Write detailed instructions to complete complex steps

• Communicate with clients with root cause analysis of certain issues

• Able to read 834 and other X12 document specifications

• Able to use basic SQL queries

• Able to use basic Linux commands

• Resolve client data discrepancies

• Able to interpret system conditions by looking at system stats/profiles (CPU, memory, Swap, disk capacity)

• Developing and maintaining a working knowledge of the systems, procedures, and current applications.

• Basic familiarity with Health Insurance

• Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Provides regular status updates on work progress

• Updates Jira issues on a timely basis

• Seeks feedback on performance from their lead, peers, and more experienced System analyst

• Follows written knowledge transfer material

Skills/Abilities/Experience:

• Exhibits initiative and drive to complete tasks promptly.

• Takes ownership of assigned responsibilities.

• Familiarity with SaaS operational environment

• Cooperates with individuals and groups across the organization by being honest and transparent in all interactions

• Works with the Engineering team by providing detailed JIRA tickets for software solutions

• Works with the QA team to test issues

• Has a base understanding of the clients we serve and how our products work to facilitate our client's needs and business goals

Minium Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of one year of related experience
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study from an accredited university, or the equivalent functional work experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and sit for extended periods.
• Ability to lift 10 lbs. weight.
