A Product Specialist marries the technical knowledge of our solutions with a deep understanding of Structured Finance, particularly ABS and RMBS, to ensure that users realize maximum value from dv01.
The Product Specialist reports to the Director, Product Specialist and is client-facing. This role is heavily relied upon to contribute to both growth and retention initiatives by helping maximize prospect and customer engagement. Because of the extensive exposure that Product Specialists have with clients, they also partner closely with Product Management and Engineering teams in determining future product developments that will resonate with the market. The role offers cross-functional exposure across our business, providing the Product Specialist great exposure to most groups at dv01, helping his/or her career growth in multiple ways.
You will:
- Assist Sales and Account Management with product pitches, consultations, and trainings in-person and remotely
- Work very closely with Product Management to drive new product development with the ability to overcome common objectives and communicate our value proposition
- Capture feedback to identify product opportunities and effectively relay that information across Account Management, Sales Executives, Product Management, amongst others
Requirements:
- Capital Markets experience in Structured Products, ideally ABS or RMBS.
- Knowledge of legacy ABS workflow solutions, like Intex or Bloomberg
- Experience with Financial Technology - ideally SAAS products, Excel, SQL, or another coding language
- 5+ years post graduate work experience with at least 3 years working with customers in a pre and post sales support role
- A high aptitude and willingness to learn, much of the technical knowledge required to succeed will be learned on the job
- Great communicator - ability to distill and explain complex issues in simple terms and comfortable communicating at executive and analyst levels with outstanding oral, written, verbal, and presentation skills
- An intelligent, articulate, consultative and confident client facing professional
- Must have the personal motivation and ability to contribute to a dynamic and entrepreneurial team culture with effective time management and task prioritization when under pressure
- Superior ability to develop rapport with new people, and to maintain relationships, combined with a positive and proactive personality
- Someone can genuinely "make the role their own", so looking for highly motivated proactive individuals who make things happen, and want to play a large role in the company’s success
In good faith our salary range for this role is $110,000 - $115,000 but are not tied to it. Final offer amount will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by multiple factors, including years and depth of experience, expertise, and other business considerations.
