Program Overview

Stats Perform summer internship program is a paid 8 week full-time internship. Interns work together and individually within the organization to gain valuable experience and make an impact in sports technology. Not only will Stats Perform Interns have hands on experience in their field of study but there are awesome perks too! There will be activities, training sessions with other Stats Perform employees, and an end-of-summer presentation.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will have an extensive knowledge of all sports, especially football.

As well as knowledge of other sports (especially rugby, cricket, basketball, golf, tennis and motorsports) is an advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Content creation as part of a team that delivers data editorial reports and insights to the media, professional clubs, brands and governing bodies.
• You will source, produce and distribute data-led content for both digital and traditional clients, as well as support internal partners within Stats Perform such as The Analyst.
• Liaise with our international data editorial teams to ensure a smooth workflow of content.
• Content creation as part of a team that produces social media content.
• Innovate and display creativity with new ideas on how to use data and enhance its story-telling capabilities.

Required Qualifications:

• A broad knowledge of and keen interest in sports, especially English league football.
• A knowledge of European football, mainly Spain, France, Germany, Italy.
• The ability to produce data-focused editorial content and reports to a high standard.
• Understanding of how raw data can be turned into compelling insight and sharable content.
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word) is essential.
• Ability to work well to tight deadlines in a highly pressurized environment.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
