If you combine this real-time data with our 40-year-old archives, elite journalists, camera operators, copywriters, the latest in AI wizardry, and a host of 'behind the scenes' support staff, you've got all the ingredients to make it a magical experience!

Our teams of technical experts specialize in harnessing live sporting data, using advanced cloud technologies, Java, JavaScript and Python. It is these tech teams that enable us to extract patterns through AI and Machine Learning and deliver our insights via APIs. In short, they turn complex data into magical experiences with cutting-edge technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and implement consistent training procedures that maintain a high-quality Data Scout network
  • Operational responsibility for agreed games and events in the region to ensure delivery of coverage and quality
  • Manage teams of local Data Collectors who gather our data directly from the venue, or at home in the Region
  • Support countries in the region and other areas if needed
  • Ensure our operational coverage targets are met and delivered within budget
  • Undertake projects and test software
  • Provide structured status updates, raise issues and red flags and provide operational recommendations to stakeholders

More about the role:

You are responsible for supporting the team of Team Leads and Country Operations Specialists in Fast Data Operations, APAC.

Your main task is to deliver and implement consistent training procedures that maintain a high-quality Scout network.

Additionally, you will ensure we have local strategies in place to manage risk, integrity, Scout wellbeing and a joined-up approach to official stadium access. Next to that, you will manage some communication to the team of Data Collectors ensuring they are fully aware of changes in procedures, processes, coverage and the overall purpose of Data Operations. Lastly, you will regularly review the operational structure to efficiently collect the required content and continuously launch initiatives to meet KPIs and improve the performance of the network.

This is an exciting role for someone who has excellent communication skills and has the ability to engage and enable people to perform at their best, to set priorities, goals and timetables to achieve maximum productivity and to adapt to changing business needs, cultures, conditions and work responsibilities.
