We partner with top-flight teams, leagues, coaches, betting companies, broadcasters, media outlets, gaming specialists and professional bodies to improve the overall experience for sports fans. We constantly collect the most detailed sports data to enhance a wide range of sports competitions, from tennis to soccer to basketball and more. Stats Perform is the knowledge bank behind it all.

Stats Perform is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team to assist our global business through legal and company secretarial duties. The Legal team provides legal support to the whole of Stats Perfom’s business on matters both big and small. While the company secretarial team looks after the global group structure of Stats Perform, including over 65 entities across all five continents.

Legal and Company Secretarial Responsibilities:

  • Review and provide feedback on various different agreements – including Non-Disclosures Agreements, vendor and supplier contracts, and commercial customer contracts
  • Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations.
  • Work closely with other members of the Stats Perform legal team across various specialisms to assist in wider Stats Perform projects (e.g. commercial, corporate, technology, new markets, IP)
  • Facilitate overall corporate objectives and support strategy while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations and minimizing risks.
  • Supporting special business-focused projects around company acquisitions, liquidations, development of processes and policies as required for projects being managed by UK/European legal team
  • Support the Company Secretary team with managing the corporate, administrative and regulatory requirements of our portfolio of companies.
  • Collaborate and manage the performance of our external company secretarial providers, ensuring that key performance metrics are met and delivered within budget
  • Assist with filing of the Annual Audited Accounts and Confirmation Statements for the businesses
  • Preparation of power of attorneys and shareholder resolutions
  • Research and analysis on different areas of laws across multiple jurisdictions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Company secretary paralegal experience is ideal, but general paralegal experience is sufficient
  • Demonstratable academic achievements
  • LPC or equivalent would be beneficial
  • High level planning and organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Effective teamwork, time management and a clear understanding of confidentiality
  • Ability to prioritise and to use initiative to work autonomously
  • Ability to work within a both a local and a virtual worldwide team,
  • Willingness to embrace change in a dynamic corporation
  • Word processing and computer skills
