Our teams of technical experts specialize in harnessing live sporting data, using advanced cloud technologies, Java, JavaScript and Python. It is these tech teams that enable us to extract patterns through AI and Machine Learning and deliver our insights via APIs. Responsibilities:

We are looking for a self-driven, proactive, knowledge sharing solid team player who will join our Database Team willing to maintain, improve, and innovate our sport Data Engineering platform. As a senior DataOps Engineer, you'll be involved in the process of creating, maintaining and tunning of our Data Engineering platform. You will work closely with Data Engineering team ad play a vital role in designing and building state-of-the-art sport data platform supporting the company’s predictive models. This role focus is on IaC and automation but also involves some standard maintenance duties related to supporting the existing stack as monitoring configuration, backups and restores, troubleshooting, performance tuning and on-call support.

Required Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in AWS Redshift or alternative data warehousing solutions like Snowflake/Google Big Query, including maintenance, troubleshooting and performance tuning.
• Hands on experience with AWS DMS and AWS Glue or alternative data replication and ETL tools.
• Good Data Warehousing / ETL Skills.
• Working knowledge of AWS Cloud database technologies.
• Experience with IaC tools like: Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins
• Shell and/or Python programming skills
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar.
• Verbal/written communication and presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams, and both internal and external stakeholders.
• An open-minded, structured thinker, a team player and good teammate.
• Intellectual curiosity and excellent problem-solving skills, including the ability to structure and prioritize an approach for maximum impact.

Desired qualifications:

• Experience with other database technologies (Oracle / MySQL / MS SQL / PostgreSQL).
• Experience with Streaming technologies (Kafka)
• Knowledge of AWS DataOps (i.e. Aurora, DynamoDB, IAM, Lambda, Step Functions, EMR)
• Working knowledge of Oracle cloud.
