About the Role
We're looking for a Director of Partnerships to build and lead transformative partnerships with top-tier consultancies such as Accenture and EY. You will identify, design, and operationalize strategic alliances that unlock new market opportunities, establish Alembic as the partner of choice, and build a scalable channel ecosystem driving long-term revenue growth. This role reports to the VP of Business Development and is based in San Francisco (Onsite).
What You'll Do
Develop and execute a comprehensive partnerships strategy targeting top-tier consultancies and strategic entities within the first 90 days
Establish and formalize at least 2-3 strategic partnerships within the first 6-9 months
Build a scalable channel framework and operational model to support partnership-led revenue growth
Drive pipeline contribution from partnerships, representing a meaningful percentage of total sales pipeline within 12 months
Secure executive-level relationships at priority partners to ensure alignment, advocacy, and joint go-to-market readiness
Enable internal teams (Sales, Product, Marketing) to integrate partners into core processes and GTM motions effectively
What Will Help You Succeed
5-10+ years in partnerships, business development, or channel leadership roles, including 2-3 years at Director level or above
Proven experience building and managing strategic partnerships with top-tier consultancies
Track record of driving revenue growth through partnerships in B2B SaaS or technology
Strong executive relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills
Strategic planning and operational execution expertise
Entrepreneurial mindset with collaborative operator approach and outcome-oriented focus
Experience building partnerships in high-growth companies or owning vendor programs within a major consultancy
Existing relationships within top-tier consultancies
Background in management consulting
Familiarity with co-selling strategies, partner marketing initiatives, and channel frameworks
Experience with multi-cloud, AI, or data platform partnerships
Global partnership management experience
MBA or advanced degree
Startup or founder experience
The role is right for you if:
You're an experienced partnerships leader ready to build strategic alliances that drive meaningful revenue impact. This role offers the opportunity to establish category-defining partnerships in the AI/data space.
You want to build something that is both strategically challenging and solves a real customer need. You want a role with major upside that tackles a massive market opportunity.
Why You Might Be Excited About Alembic
High-impact deals with elite clients: You'll build partnerships that enable breakthrough technology sales to Fortune 100 companies making multimillion-dollar marketing decisions - deals that matter and clients that move the industry
Product that sells itself: You're not pushing features through partners - you're enabling them to demonstrate 10-100x performance improvements that make prospects say "how is this possible?"
First-mover advantage: You'll be building partnerships around something that's never existed before, giving you a massive competitive edge in every conversation
Significant upside: Early-stage equity opportunity with proven product-market fit and enterprise traction
Why You Might Not Be Excited
You prefer selling established, commoditized products with well-defined playbooks over breakthrough technology that requires consultative selling
You want fully built-out partnership processes rather than helping define and refine our channel approach
You prefer static territories over dynamic opportunities that adapt to market feedback and your strengths
